4 Interesting Days in Iceland

Americans often have limited time for their vacations. Here is a suggested itinerary for four days sightseeing in Iceland:

Day 1:
Golden Circle private tour with national park Thingvellir, golden waterfall Gullfoss and geothermal area Geysir. During this tour we are visiting some of the most important places in Iceland regarding history and geology. Duration 6.5 hours. Accommodation on your own in Reykjavik. 

Day 2:
Western interior of Iceland with a short walk to glacier Langjokull, taking a break by Europe’s biggest geyser Deildartunguhver, optional to join Krauma spa at extra price, taking a break by wonderful waterfalls Barnafoss and Hraunfossar and seeing the biggest lava field in Iceland Hallmundarhraun before driving along the glacier back to Reykjavik enjoying the wilderness on the way. Please notice that the drive along the glacier back to Reykjavik is in summer only. Duration up to 10 hours. Accommodation on your own in Reykjavik.

Day 3:
National park Snaefellsjokull with glacier and volcano Snaefellsjokull. During the tour we are crossing lava fields, passing craters, volcanic systems, seeing waterfalls, enjoying the open view to the beautifulAtlantic, seeing blowholes if you care to take a hike etc. Optional to go on a 1-2 hours hiking tour. Duration up to 10 hours. Accommodation on your own in Reykjavik.

Day 4:
Untamed Nature tour with Reykjanes peninsula, crossing lava fields, crossing the tectonic plates on the way, passing volcanic systems, craters, seeing geothermal areas, lakes, even visiting the only place in the world where the Mid-Atlantic Oceanic Ridge rises out of the sea and becomes land etc etc. Duration 6 hours. Optional to join the Blue Lagoon at extra price. Accommodation on your own in Reykjavik or perhaps by the Blue lagoon.
